We work extensively with the two most popular content management systems on the planet; WordPress and Drupal. Both of these platforms are well received by our clients because they allow them to manage their websites with ease, mostly avoiding the need for any technical knowledge.
But on balance, we’ve always believed that Drupal has the edge over the two, and with the recent release of Drupal 8 we thought it was time to make the leap.
Going forward every website we design will be built on Drupal. Drupal has a huge, global community of developers meaning the platform is well-supported, secure and growing. We feel that this is a very positive move for our clients as it means we will be able to deliver world-class websites that can be easily maintained and updated, giving our clients a great platform for growth.
It is also important that we look to contribute back to Drupal in order to help it continue growing. We will be attending more Drupal events, writing tutorials about Drupal and generally speaking positively about it with people we meet. The Drupal project is a fantastic example of a global community working together to build something great. It’s no wonder that so many businesses and third sector organisations use it!
Along with this move we have taken the decision to upgrade our hosting offering to clients. We get frequent requests from clients to host their websites as part of our overall service package, so in response we now offer hosting on our own super-fast UK-based hybrid server.
Put simply, this means we can now offer our clients reliable, fast and fully-managed web hosting, taking the stress out of website maintenance and upkeep.
